Reformer Pilates in Lower Hutt
Low-impact, full-body Pilates classes designed to build strength, mobility, posture and confidence.
At In Motion Studio, our Reformer Pilates classes use spring resistance and guided movement to help you strengthen your body, improve control and move with more confidence.
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a form of Pilates performed on a reformer machine. The machine uses springs, a moving carriage, straps and a footbar to create resistance and support your movement.
This makes Reformer Pilates ideal for building strength, improving posture, supporting mobility and developing better body control.
It can feel gentle and supportive, but it can also be challenging. Your instructor will guide you through each movement and offer options so you can work at the right level for your body.

It can help support:
Core strength
Posture

Every class is guided by an instructor, with options offered so you can work at the right level for your body.

New to Reformer Pilates?
Everyone is welcome!
Reformer Pilates is designed to support different bodies, abilities and fitness levels. Because the spring resistance can be adjusted, your instructor can help you find a level that feels right for your body on the day.
The reformer can reduce stress on the body by offering support through the carriage, straps and springs, while still helping you build strength, control and confidence.
If it is your first time, your instructor will help you set up the reformer, explain how it works and guide you through each movement.
You do not need to be fit, flexible or experienced to start. We will help you move safely, feel supported and build confidence at your own pace.
